What is the first thing you think of when someone says PR?
Obviously as students studying public relations, we will all think of generally the same things: building relationships with people, communicating with clients verbally and written, and keeping calm during crisis situations, just to name a few.
No matter how you think of it, Public Relations is going to continue to be a complex term. In a survey done via Twitter and Facebook, people submitted their ideas of what they think PR is. Here are the results:
Awesome, right? This visually describes how complex PR really is. No wonder it’s hard to explain to someone when they ask you what it means you’ll be doing with your career down the road.
Another article found on the PR Newswire Blog ( http://blog.prnewswire.com/tag/pr-trends) talks about the trends predicted for PR in 2013. The trend of visual communications, the need for business results, and increasing website traffic are all part of the PR of this day.
Times are changing, and so is the way people look at PR.
Public Relations is really what you make it to be.

This is a great post about what PR is viewed to be. This blog is looking great. The new PRSSA board is doing an excellent job building on what previous boards have done. So proud to say I was able to be a part of it.
